  • Business Information: Company name, address, tax identification numbers, and industry type.
  • Financial Data: Invoices, bills, expenses, contacts, and other financial records you enter into the platform.
  • Payment Information: When you make payments through our platform, payment details are processed by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.

2.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Usage Data: Pages visited, features used, time spent on the platform, and interaction patterns.
  • Device Information: Browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and IP address.
  • Cookies: We use cookies and similar technologies to maintain your session and preferences.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Bank Account Data: When you connect your bank accounts through Plaid, we receive transaction history, account balances, and account information. We do not receive or store your bank login credentials.
  • Authentication Providers: If you sign in using a third-party service (e.g., Google), we receive basic profile information from that service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, maintain, and improve our bookkeeping and accounting services
  • Process transactions and send related information
  • Automatically categorize transactions using AI
  • Generate financial reports, forecasts, and insights
  • Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
  • Respond to your comments, questions, and customer service requests
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraudulent transactions and other illegal activities

  • Service Providers: We share data with third-party vendors who perform services on our behalf, including Plaid (bank connections), Stripe (payments), Supabase (database hosting), Vercel (application hosting), and Anthropic (AI categorization).
  • With Your Consent: When you authorize sharing with your accountant or team members through our platform features.
  • Legal Requirements: When required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect our rights, privacy, safety, or property.
  • Business Transfers: In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as a business asset.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:
